Madurai MayilVel Murugan Temple, Kochadai, Madurai-16
Due to Road widening project in Madurai, the LORD MURUGAN Temple at Kochadai, Madurai, has to be shifted. As lot of people are presently worshiping at this place, it is decided to shift the LORD's to a new place, by constructing a new temple. As you all aware constructing a Temple involves huge expenditure. Shri.TPM.Lexmanan, has donated a land near Seventh day School,TPM Nagar, Kochadai, Madurai. Now, temples has to be constructed for "MAYIL VEL MURUGAN", "PILLAIYAR" , "DAKSHINA MURTHY", "ANJANEYA", "DURGAI", "IYYAPPAN" and "NAVAGRAKAM". The cost for construction of temple is expected around Rs.3500/-per sq.ft. A trust has been established for proper accounting of money in the name of "SRI MAYILVEL MURUGAN THIRUKOIL TRUST" (Regd. No. 138/B.K.4/4.3.2010).
